Searching for continuity

• Nine of SIU's 12 players have started at least one game this season.
• Only four Salukis have played in all 16 games this season, two of which are freshmen. Quierra Love, Adrianna Katcher, Payton McCallister and Caitlin Link have played in all of SIU's games this season, with McCallister's 14 starts the most of any one on the squad.
Comeback win
• The Salukis erased a 15-point second quarter deficit to stun the Illinois State Redbirds, 43-41 on Feb. 6, 2021 inside Banterra Center.
• It was Southern's largest deficit to overcome since it mounted a 16-point third quarter comeback to defeat the UMKC Kangaroos, 77-69 on Dec. 19, 2016 inside the Swinney Recreation Center.
Reaching Milestones
• Makenzie Silvey made five three-pointers in Southern's weekend series at Drake.Â
• In doing so, she became just the fourth player in Saluki history to make 200-plus career three-pointers.Â
• She joins Rishonda Napier, Kylie Giebelhausen and Teri Oliver as the only Salukis to accomplish the feat. She's now 20 three-pointers shy of cracking the top-25 in MVC history. The Glen Carbon, Ill. native also came away with a pair of steals over the weekend to bump her career total to 142- which ranks her 10th in school history.
