CHICAGO, Ill. - The SIU men's basketball program travels to Chicago to close the regular season with back-to-back games against #21 Loyola. Both games will be televised nationally. Friday's game will tip at 8 p.m. and air on CBS Sports Network. Saturday's game will tip at 5 p.m. and air on ESPN2.

OPENING TIP

SIU head coach Bryan Mullins started his coaching career under Loyola head coach Porter Moser. He started as the DOBO in 2013 and was eventually promoted to associate head coach.
Kyler Filewich leads all MVC freshmen in rebounding (5.7). Among MVC freshmen, he ranks in the top-five in scoring, rebounding, assists and blocks (He's the only player in top-5 among MVC freshmen of all four categories).
Dalton Banks is also making a case for the All-Freshman team and All-Bench team. Banks ranks 6th in scoring, 6th in rebounding, 2nd in assists, and 3rd in steals among MVC freshmen. Among bench players, Banks leads the MVC in effective field goal percentage (KenPom).
Since returning from a 21-day COVID break in January (12 games), SIU has been without leading scorer Marcus Domask, who is week-to-week with a left foot injury.
Four SIU sophomores have all surpassed 500 career points this season: Marcus Domask, Lance Jones, Ben Harvey, and Steven Verplancken Jr. Senior forward Anthony D'Avanzo surpassed the 1,000 career point mark, as well.
