
Nick Hill press conference looks ahead to Weber State game

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois head coach Nick Hill met with the media on Tuesday to preview this weekend's FCS Playoff game against Weber State. The No. 14-ranked Salukis (5-3) will play the No. 3-ranked Wildcats (5-0) on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT at Stewart Stadium.
The game will mark the first playoff appearance for SIU since 2009. Southern Illinois won a National Championship in 1983 and made seven-straight playoff appearances from 2003-09, advancing as far as the Final Four in 2007, when Hill was the team's starting quarterback.
The Salukis depart for Utah on Thursday afternoon.
