AROUND THE HORN
- SIU continues an eight-game road swing with a four-game series at Valparaiso. The series schedule has been adjusted due to forecasted rain. The teams will now play a noon doubleheader on Friday, and a 1 p.m. game on both Saturday and Sunday.
- The Salukis come into the series on a three-game losing streak and are looking for the program's first-ever win at Valpo. (Valpo, which joined the league in 2017-18, swept SIU in a three-game series at Emory Field in 2019.)

- J.T. Weber has hit 12 home runs this season. With one more, Weber would be the first Saluki to hit 13 or more home runs in a season since Chris Serritella and Jordan Sivertsen each hit 13 homers in 2012.

- 8th in runs per game (8.3)
- 9th in batting average (.307)
- 11th in hits (357)
