The Southern Illinois Volleyball team (14-9,7-4 MVC) will hit the road this weekend after spending its last five matches at home. With seven matches left in the regular season, the Salukis currently sit in fourth place in the Valley as they look to finish strong and make the MVC Tourney for the first time since 2016.

Scouting Bradley

• Bradley comes into Friday night with 8-15 (4-7 MVC), 8th place in the Valley.

• The Braves have won three of their last four matches with wins over Belmont, Indiana State, and Evansville.

• Through 11 home games, Bradley has a 5-6 record.

• Kendall Minta leads the Braves with a .245 hitting percentage, while also averaging 1.06 blocks per set (4th in the Valley).

All-time vs. the Braves

• Southern Illinois leads the all-time series with a 46-26 record.

• The Salukis dropped both matches against Bradley in 2021 as well as losing eight of the last 10.

• Southern's last win against Bradley was September of 2019 in Peoria.

Scouting Illinois State

• Illinois State enters the weekend 10-12 (3-8 MVC).

• The 2021 MVC Champs were selected to finish on top again in the 2022 Coaches' Preseason Poll but currently sit in 10th place in the Valley.

•The Redbirds split their road trip last weekend, sweeping Belmont and losing to Murray State in four.

• With 138 aces on the season, the Redbirds average 1.64 aces per set for the second most in the Valley.

• Nora Janka, Aida Shadewald, and Kaity Weimerskirch are all in the top-15 of the Valley in total aces and aces per set.

• The Salukis will stay instate as they travel to Bradley Friday, followed by a meeting with the 2021 MVC Champions, Illinois State on Saturday.
