Salukis finish off second outdoor meet at Raleigh Relays

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University track and field distance team completed its second outdoor meet of the season on Saturday at the Raleigh Relays.
Claire Ayers set a personal best in the women's 1500m, running a 4:33.11 in the event. Ayers finished 92nd out of 185 competitors.Â
In the women's 3000m steeple, Rachel Anderson also set a personal best with a time of 10:24.17, which ranked ninth out of 34 athletes.Â
On the men's side, Ethan Senti ran a 14:29.49 in the men's 5000m.
Dawson Smith earned a top 20 finish (out of 65) in the men's 3000m steeple after posting a time of 8:59.44.
What's Next
The Salukis will next head to Austin, Texas, for the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. from Friday, March 31, to Saturday, April 1.
