Vaughan & Overstreet Lead Salukis on Day 1 of Pinetree Collegiate

KENNESAW, GA. - The Southern Illinois women's golf team sits in 9th place after rounds one and two of the Pinetree Women's Collegiate. Sophomore Kylee Vaughan and Freshman Ella Overstreet led the Salukis on Day 1. They are tied for 48th place overall with a total score of 160 (+16).Â
Junior Janie Samattiyadeekul finds her self in 51st place after Day 1. She shot 81 (+9) in both of the first two rounds for a total of 162 (+18). Senior Secilia Ho and Sophomore Morgan Gindler are tied for 54th place with scores of 167 (+23).Â
The two day tournament wraps up tomorrow with the final round teeing off at 8 AM. The weather calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high of 82F and winds of  9 MPH. For live scoring follow along on GolfStat.
