Saluki Softball Earns Another Impressive Team GPA During Spring Semester

Carbondale, Ill. - The Saluki softball program just wrapped up its 2023 season after winning an MVC Championship while also earning their 4th NCAA Tournament appearance over the last seven seasons. Along with their on-field success, the Dawgs also had a successful semester in the classroom as they led SIU Athletics for the second-straight semester with a team GPA of 3.760 after finishing the fall semester with a 3.765.Â
Eight Salukis on the roster earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in the spring, while all 21 had at least a 3.0.Â
It was announced in August that the Salukis finished 23rd on the 2021-22 Easton/NFCA Division I All-Academic list with their 3.604 GPA last season. It was the 11th-straight season Southern finished in the top-25.
