Preview | Salukis Head to Chicago for Badgers Midwest Invite

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University track and field will be heading north for the Badger Midwest Invite Saturday, Jan. 13, 2023, in Chicago, Ill.
Field events will begin at 11:45 a.m., while running events start at 2:15 p.m. The Salukis will compete against Wisconsin, DePaul, Milwaukee, and Purdue in the meet.
WINNING SALUKIS
The Salukis are coming off the Saluki Fast Start, in which they tallied 10 first place finishes. On the men's side, sophomores Xavier Preston (60m and 200m dash) and Jadon Robertson (60m hurdles) took home two first place finishes. Fellow sophomore Bryson Wilson won a 400 meter dash, while freshman Dallas Hodge took first in the shot put. Junior Darius Fuller won first in a running of the men's triple jump. Senior Iaunia Pointer took three wins of her own, two in the semi and final rounds of the 60 meter dash, and a first place finish in the 200 meter dash as well.
