CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball was swept by Bradley Friday night in Davies Gym.
The Braves (8-7) dominated each of the first two sets and made a late comeback in set three to end the match.
Middle hitters Avery Parris and Larissa Seger led the Salukis (8-7) with a combined 13 kills and eight blocks.
Ema Stermenska had three service aces in a row in set one, giving the Salukis an 11-10 advantage. The Braves would storm ahead with a 10-1 run shortly after and comfortably win the set 25-19.
Bradley's Iva Popovic impacted the end of set two with three key kills and quickly put Southern's back against the wall with a 2-0 set lead.
Seger put down four of her six kills in set three to try and will the Salukis back into the match.
With a 24-22 lead, the Salukis were primed to send the match to a fourth set, but two more kills aided the Braves as they scored four straight points and completed the sweep of SIU.

Southern Illinois will look to earn a weekend split when they host Illinois State Saturday at 3 p.m.
