CARBONDALE, Ill. -Â Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball dropped its tenth Missouri Valley Conference game in three sets to Valparaiso Saturday night in Carbondale.Â
The Beacons took advantage of errors from the Salukis, who only tallied a hitting percentage of 10.1% on the night.
Kelly Franklin and Annabelle Sulish led the Salukis with 9 kills, while Eva Krakowski denied four attacks and Ema Stermenska tallied 15 assists.
Set one was tied at 18, but three costly errors from the Salukis helped Valpo score seven of the last nine points en route to a 1-0 match lead.
Jessica Pickett was the key to Valpo's offense as the match progressed, putting down the final point in set two to give the Beacons a 2-0 lead.
Pickett picked up three of her six blocks in the third and final set, which led to a dominant 25-16 win and clinched the sweep.

Southern Illinois heads back on the road to face Illinois State and Bradley beginning Friday in Normal.
