
News | Five Salukis Named to Scholar-Athlete Teams

ST. LOUIS — Lucy Horn, Kylie McDermott, Ashlyn Henrie, Olivia Anderson, and Sierra O'Grady were named to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete teams, the league announced this morning.
Horn earned a spot on the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team. A psychology major with a 4.0 grade point average, Horn started and played in all 19 games this season, leading the team in minutes with 1,710. She ranks first in program history for career minutes played.
McDermott and Henrie were named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team. McDermott, a nursing major with a 3.84 GPA, started seven games and appeared in 17 this season. She tied for second on the team in assists with two and was previously named a 2023 MVC Scholar-Athlete. Henrie, a biomedical engineering major with a 3.92 GPA, started 12 games and played in 18 this season. She ranked second on the team in assists with two and led the team in shots with 23.
Anderson and O'Grady were named to the Third Team.
Anderson, an accounting major with a 3.76 GPA, started 14 games and played in all 19 this season. She recorded the third-most shots on goal for the team with seven and was named to the 2024 All-Conference Third Team. O'Grady, a University Studies major with a 4.0 GPA, started 14 games and played in all 19 this season. She tied for fourth in points with three and ranked third on the team in minutes played with 1,124.
To qualify for Scholar-Athlete honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, have a GPA of 3.50 or higher, athletes must be starters or important reserves as well.
