CARBONDALE, Ill. – Last week was a jam-packed week for Salukis athletics. Soccer, football, and volleyball all continued conference play while swim and dive participated in their second and third meets of the year. Additionally, five Salukis earned weekly conference awards.
Soccer (9-3-2, 3-2-0)
Soccer's week started with a weekly honor from the Missouri Valley Conference, who named Reagan Miller as the Goalkeeper of the Week. In the prior week's one game against UIC, Miller made five saves to secure her fifth shutout of the season. This was Miller's second Goalkeeper of the Week award this season.
Yet again, soccer had just one matchup this week, a 1-0 loss at Murray State on Friday. Dory Latenser and Nao Katamoto led the offensive charge, both putting two shots on goal. In the Saluki net, Miller made seven saves against one goal allowed.

He also had two tackles for loss and two pass breakups, one of which led to an interception for Southern. This was Walker's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of his career.

DJ Williams threw for 190 while also leading the team in net rushing yards with 41; he also rushed for a touchdown, as did Chandler Chapman. Receiving wise, Fabian McCray and Jay Jones both led the team with 52 yards.
