ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Missouri Valley Conference announced four members of Saluki Volleyball to its Scholar-Athlete team on Tuesday. The league selected Cecilia Bulmahn, Eva Krakowski, Emma Lade and Jillian Shaneyfelt to represent Southern Illinois.
"We are proud of Ceci, Eva, Emma, and Jillian for earning recognition on the MVC Scholar Athlete team," Head Coach Brittany Harry said. "SIU volleyball has a long history of being high-achieving in the classroom and it is something we emphasize everyday in our program."Â
Bulmahn put together a stellar senior season, ranking top 10 in the Valley in service aces (31, sixth) and digs (341, ninth). She finished her Saluki career with 1,414 digs, fourth-most in program history. The McCordsville, Ind., native sports a 3.6 GPA in Communication Studies.Â
Krakowski was stout in the middle for the Salukis in 2025, notching 100 kills and 89 blocks. On September 26, she had 10 blocks at Murray State, tied for the most in a four-set match in the conference all season. It was the most by a Saluki since Kolby Meeks tallied nine in 2017. The Roselle, Ill., native has a 4.0 GPA, majoring in Art.
Lade tallied her 4,000th career assist on Nov. 7, and led the Salukis with 790 on the season, ranking second in the MVC. She also impressed from the service line with 34 aces, fourth in The Valley. A transfer from Texas A&M International, the Howard Lake, Minn., native has a 3.62 GPA, majoring in biological sciences.
Shaneyfelt was the leading defender for Southern Illinois in 2025 with 484 digs, ranking fourth in The Valley. After a then career-high 28 digs at Bradley, Shaneyfelt was named the MVC's Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 20. She has a 3.82 GPA, majoring in mathematics.
"These four ladies have represented Saluki volleyball on and off the court this season in a way that reflects our program's values and we are proud of their accomplishment in the classroom," Harry said.Â
