
Five Salukis Named to MVFC Scholar-Athlete Teams; Fenske Voted to First Team

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Five student-athletes from the Southern Illinois University football team have earned spots on the Missouri Valley Football Conference Scholar-Athlete Teams, which were announced by the league on Friday.
The five honorees are the most Southern Illinois has had since 2011 when it last had five student-athletes featured.
Center Noah Fenske was named to the first team, linebacker Andrew Behm and tight end Aidan Quinn were voted on the second team, and defensive end Camron Miller and tight end Ryan Schwendeman were honorable mentions.
Fenske, who is non declared, has a 4.0 grade-point average in his senior season. The veteran center was also named to the All-MVFC Second Team last week. Fenske led an offensive line that helped SIU rank top 15 in the country in both rushing offense (11th, 207.2 yards-per-game) and sacks allowed (12th, 13 sacks).
Behm has a 3.8 GPA and is pursuing a Master's Degree in business administration. The senior linebacker made 61 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, had two passes defended, and forced one fumble in eight games played.
Quinn, who joined Behm on the second team, has a 4.0 GPA and is pursuing a Master's Degree in agribusiness economics. On the year, the senior tight end finished with 12 receptions, 139 yards, and one touchdown. Quinn found the endzone on Oct. 25 against Northern Iowa.
In terms of honorable mentions, Miller was selected with a 4.0 GPA in university studies. The sophomore defensive end recorded eight tackles and had 2.5 TFL on the season, including a season-high 1.5 TFL at Purdue on Sept. 6.
Schwendeman earned honorable mention honors with a 3.92 GPA in communication studies. On the field, the tight end recorded nine receptions, 191 receiving yards, and two touchdowns in 2025. Schwendeman scored at Purdue and then on a fake field goal on Nov. 15 vs. South Dakota.
