ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Pre-Championship Poll for the Missouri Valley Conference Swim and Dive Men's Championship has been released, and Southern Illinois was picked to finish second.
The Salukis earned 40 total points with one first-place vote. Miami was the lone squad picked to finish above SIU, earning 47 total points and five first-place picks. Third-place Missouri State is the only other team to collect a first-place vote and earned one less total point than the Salukis.
At fourth place is UIC with 26 total points and Ball State is close behind them with 23. Evansville sits at sixth with 13 points, and Valparaiso rounds out the list at eighth with eight points.
The Men's MVC Championships begin on Wednesday in Oxford, Ohio, and will last until Saturday.
