
Preview | Saluki Volleyball begins Spring season Saturday in Cape Girardeau

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball will begin its Spring schedule Saturday at Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau, Mo. It will be the first chance for first-year Head Coach Brittany Harry to see her team in action against opposing schools.
The spring slate consists of three different days of matches, one at SEMO and two at Davies Gym in Carbondale.
SATURDAY, MARCH 29 (at SEMO)
The Spring roster consists of 10 returners from the Fall of 2024 including juniors Cecilia Bulmahn and Larissa Seger. Bulmahn was the team's primary defender as she finished in the top 10 in digs (433, 10th) and digs per set (4.12, eighth) of the Missouri Valley Conference. Seger finished ninth in The Valley in blocks per set with 0.88. Emma Lade joins SIU after playing her first three seasons at Texas A&M International in Laredo, Texas. Lade has compiled 3,322 assists in three seasons and earned several honors. As a freshman, she was the 2022 Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year and was tabbed First-Team All-Conference in 2022 and 2023. She was named the LSC's Setter of the Year in 2023 and followed that up with a Second-Team All-Conference appearance in 2024.
