
News | Six Salukis Earn Spots on Softball's MVC Scholar-Athlete Teams

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Six members of the Southern Illinois University softball team have been awarded spots on the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete teams, as announced by the conference on Thursday.
Emma Austin, Emily Williams, and Jackie Lis have been named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team, while Anna Carder, Erin Lee, and McKenzie Newcomb have been named to the Second Team.
This is the second time Austin and Lis have received this honor, as they were also on the Scholar-Athlete First Team in 2024.Â
Carder, Williams, Lee, and Newcomb are all making their first appearances on the Scholar-Athlete teams.
