News | Miller Named MVC Goalkeeper of the Week

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Less than week into the 2025 season and Southern Illinois soccer already has an award winner as Reagan Miller was named the Missouri Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week on Tuesday.
Miller, a transfer from USF, made her Saluki debut in the team's 4-0, season-opening win over Eastern Illinois last Thursday. In the game, Miller made one, point-blank save to preserve the shutout and help SIU start the season 1-0.
This is SIU's first weekly award winner since Lucy Horn was named Defensive Player of the Week for the week of October 8 last season. A week before that, on October 1, was the last time a Saluki goalkeeper took home the award when Fabiana Solano captured the honor.
The Salukis and Miller are back in action on Thursday, Aug. 21, as the team hosts SEMO at 6 p.m.
