ST, LOUIS, Mo. — Anthony De Schutter was named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Thursday. He has earned the honor for the second time in his career, the last coming on Feb. 13, 2025.
De Schutter led off the 2025 season with a 212 (-4) at the Wildcat Invitational on Tuesday, winning the individual competition and powering the Salukis to a third-place finish in the event. Southern ranked first among other MVC teams in competition. His victory was the first since Edouard Cereto accomplished the feat in April 2024.
De Schutter and the Salukis will enjoy a week of rest before getting back into action on Sept. 22 in Madison, Wis.
