SIU Hits Road for First Conference Away Game at Illinois State

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Following a four-game homestand, Southern Illinois soccer (8-1-2, 2-0-0) now hits the road for their first Missouri Valley Conference game on enemy turf when they visit Illinois State (3-4-5, 0-0-2) on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Southern last played on Thursday when they took down Evansville 2-1. After the Purple Aces took a short-lived lead, unanswered goals from Dana Nadda and Londyn Soto, her first collegiate goal, put SIU in front for good. Sophia Schlicklin and Olivia Anderson both provided assists on Nadda's game-tying goal.

Illinois State holds a 3-1-1 advantage in the all-time series. When the two teams met last season in Carbondale, they tied 0-0.
