SIU Kicks Off Homestand on Thursday Versus Evansville

CARBONDALE, Ill. – After a prolonged trip to Iowa, Southern Illinois women's basketball (3-10, 0-4) now prepares for a five-game homestand starting on Thursday against Evansville (3-11, 1-2).

Southern wrapped up their Iowa trip on Sunday with a 91-64 loss at UNI. Kayla Cooper and Jeniah Thompson led the offense the best they could, scoring 11 and 10 points to be the only Salukis in double-digits. SIU did end the game on a high note, closing out the contest with a 19-3 run. While the Salukis shot a respectable 40% from the field, they struggled from beyond the arc, making just 20% of their attempted threes.
