CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois swimming and diving returns to competition Oct. 16-17, traveling to Cedar Falls, Iowa, to face Northern Iowa, a Missouri Valley Conference opponent for the women's team, and St. Thomas in a two-day meet.
After two weeks of training, the Salukis will look to build on their season-opening performances and keep improving as they work toward their mid-season peak.
"After a great two weeks of training, we are very much looking forward to getting on the road to UNI and competing against a good conference team, as well as St. Thomas men and women. Each race we get at this point in the season gives us a chance to improve on our last performance. As we build towards our mid-season peak, we will have a great test on the road this weekend," head coach Geoff Hanson said.
