Two Dawgs named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete team

Two Southern Illinois women's golfers—Amelia Zingler and Calli Smith—have been named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA and compete in at least half of the team's events during the season.

Smith, a Sports Administration major, leads the team with a 3.933 GPA. She also posted the second-best scoring average on the team at 79.3 and recorded multiple top-10 finishes this season.

Zingler, also majoring in Sports Administration, holds a 3.53 GPA. She finished the year with an 82.4 scoring average and earned three top-40 finishes.
