Salukis Sweep MVC Golfer of the Week Awards

Carbondale, Ill. - Southern Illinois University seniors Alison Hiller and Brad Dunker were named Missouri Valley Conference Golfers of the Week to complete a sweep of the league's weekly honors.
Hiller shot a second-round score of 71 en route to a fourth-place finish at the Arkansas-Little Rock Lady Trojan Classic (Oct. 15-16).
After beginning the tournament with a mark of 78, Hiller reduced her second-round score by seven strokes. With nine rounds in the 70s this season, Hiller's round of 71 additionally ranked as one of the best all-time low individual 18-hole scores in Saluki history.
On the men's side, Dunker tied a season-low score of 72 en route to posting his best finish in a tournament this season. His mark helped him tie for fifth place out of 90 golfers at the Eastern Illinois University Ironhorse Classic (Oct. 15-16) in Tuscola, Ill. In addition, his first-round score of 72 marked the 11th round in the 70s he has clubbed on the year.
