Saluki Athletics Announces 2002-03 Scholarship Recipients

Carbondale, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University athletic department and the Saluki Athletic Scholarship Fund has announced the recipients of the 15 endowed and non-endowed scholarships for the 2002-03 school year. A total of 19 current SIU athletes will have all or part of their athletic scholarships paid through generous contributions and endowments by donors.
"We're excited about the scholarships we currently have in Saluki athletics and their growth. We hope to award more scholarships and we look to add more endowments in the future. The endowments insure our long-term success in Saluki athletics and helps the SIU Athletic Department offset our yearly operating cost for scholarships," said Tommy Bell, SIU Foundation Development Officer.
