Bill Ford is in his second season as an Associate Sports Information Director at Southern Illinois University. He is in charge of all publicity efforts for the Saluki women's basketball and volleyball programs.
Ford came to SIU after completing an internship with the Washington University in St. Louis sports information office. Prior to that, he served two years as a media services student/graduate assistant with Western Illinois University Athletics where he was the primary contact for the Fighting Leatherneck volleyball, golf, cross country, and swimming and diving teams during his tenure. While at Western, he completed his master's degree in sport management.
A native of Carman, Ill., Ford completed his bachelor's degree in journalism at SIU Carbondale in 2006 before working two years as a sportswriter with the Galesburg Register-Mail. He and his wife, Molly, reside in DeSoto.
