Lew Hartzog Bio
Hartzog built a track & field powerhouse at SIU, producing 64 All-Americans, nine NCAA individual champions and seven Olympians in his 24 years at the helm. Besides the Saluki Hall of Fame, he is a member of the Drake Relays Hall of Fame, the Illinois Track Coaches Hall of Fame and the MVC Hall of Fame.
