William McAndrew Bio
McAndrew is the father of intercollegiate athletics at SIU. As the school's first athletic director, he laid the groundwork for future success. The championship football team of 1930 was the highlight of his coaching career. McAndrew Stadium was completed in 1937 and served the football program through 2009.
