Bill Norwood Bio
Norwood played quarterback and led the 1958 team to a 7-2 record while earning first-team All-Conference honors in the IIAC. He later pursued a career in aviation and became United Airlines' first black pilot. In addition, Norwood has served on SIU's Board of Trustees, chairing that group twice.
