Saluki Cheerleading
Come and visit us at the Saluki athletic events and help us support the team.
Tryout Information
Everything required is taught during tryouts with plenty of time spent practicing. We look for overall ability and potential.
Next Tryouts:
- Cheerleaders, Shakers & Mascots
- Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at 3:30PM in the Arena, room #125.
Academic Requirements:
- Full-time SIU student (at least 12 hours)
- Be in good standing with SIU
- Ability to maintain a 2.0 GPA
Athletic Requirements:
- Standing Backhandspring
- Tumbling Pass
- Toe Touch
- 8 Count Dance
- Fight Song
- Cheer
- Stunting (flying for ladies and basing for men)
