Student Recreation Center
Located inside the SIU Student Rec Center, the SIU indoor track is one of the premier indoor facilities in the Midwest. The 200-meter Mondo Track also facilitates the field events.
Since it's opening in January of 1990, the facility has helped train two Olympians, five NCAA indoor All-Americans, 30 Missouri Valley indoor champions, three team championships and 75 all-MVC selections. The facility has also housed three Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships in 1990, 1991 and 1994.
The Rec Center will host four indoor track meets in 2001, beginning with the Saluki Booster Invitational on January 12-13, followed by the McDonald's Invitational on January 26-27, the USA Track & Field Open on February 17, and the MVC Indoor Championships on February 23-24.
