Saluki Skills Clinics:
The Cheerleading and Dance Skills clinics will be separated by ability and/or age groups for more individual instruction. Each participant will learn tips and techniques to sharpen their individual events and team routines. These clinics will also prepare participants for college tryouts. These clinics will be relative to: all girl & coed squads, high school intermediate and beginners as well as individuals, partial squads and full squads.
Camp Descriptions:
The Dance Skills Clinic will be held on November 25, 2001 from 1-5 p.m. and will include stunts, funk routines, jazz routines, pom routines, dance technique, and participants will be able to perform at a SIU Basketball Game. This clinic is open to individuals ages 5-18.
Clinic Times: 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Clinic Location: SIUC - Davies Gym
Registration Deadline: November 16, 2001
Clinic Fee: $25.00 - Late fee of $10 will be added after Nov. 16
There is a $10 discount for the second family member/sibling. All family registrations must be submitted or mailed together.
The format is set up to allow all participants access to SIU Cheerleading and Dance staff, as well as the Saluki Cheerleaders and Shakers. All participants will receieve a Saluki water bottle with their registration.
Instruction will be provided by Casey Mills, assistant cheer coach; Tawni Conley, Shaker coach; and the Saluki Cheerleaders, Dancers, and Mascots.
The Cheerleading Skills Clinic will be held on January 13, 2002 from 1-5 p.m. Check in will take place from 12:30-1 p.m. at Davies Gym. This clinic is open to individuals ages 9-18. The Cheerleading Skills Clinic will include all girl and coed stunts, mounts, baskets, jumps, motion techniques, and mascot instruction.
