TEAM NOTES
- SIU dropped to 3-27 all-time against FBS opponents since joining the FCS prior to the 1982 season
- SIU recorded a sack for the 54th time in its last 56 games. The Salukis have recorded at least three sacks in all four games this year.
- Southern's defense allowed its first second-half touchdown all year in the final minute of the game at Purdue. SIU went 119:24 second-half minutes before allowing a second-half TD.
- Southern Illinois is outscoring opponents 59-10 in the second half this year and has outscored all four opponents in the second half.
- SIU outscored Purdue 10-7 in the second half and outgained the Boilermakers 238-188 in the final two quarters.
- SIU recorded five tackles for loss for the 21st time in the last 25 games, including all four games this year
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
- MyCole Pruitt set career highs with 10 receptions and 136 yards.
- Pruitt became the sixth SIU player in program history with double-digit receptions in a game, joining Cornell Craig (who did it seven times), John Ference, Justin Allen, Joe Allaria and Jeff Evans.
- Before Pruitt had 10 receptions at Purdue, the last Saluki with 10 or more receptions was Allaria in 2010
- Pruitt surpassed 2,000 career receiving yards during the game, becoming the third player in school history to surpass the milestone. He joined Cornell Craig (3,508) and Brent Little (2,303).
- Pruitt now has 2,046 career receiving yards.
- Tyler Williamson extended his program record for career forced fumbles. With one at Purdue, Williamson now has eight in his career, two more than anyone else in SIU history
- Chase Allen tied a career high with 10 tackles. Allen has had 10 tackles in each of the last two games. Before the SEMO game, his career high in tackles was six.
- With two field goals, Thomas Kinney jumped into a tie for eighth in school history in career made field goals with 22.
