SALUKI NATION CODE OF CONDUCT |

Southern Illinois University is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable gameday experience for all fans. Saluki Nation is widely known for its enthusiasm, sportsmanship and hospitality. As a ticket holder, you are responsible for how your actions and/or language may affect others. All Salukis are expected to create a first-class environment for fans, coaches, players and officials.
The following expectations have been established for all fans to follow. A fan's experience will not be disrupted by unruly fans' threatening or inconsiderate behavior. Profane or abusive language is not allowed. Fans who appear intoxicated will be denied access to Saluki events. For the safety of all coaches and players, access to the field or playing area is not permissible without proper credentials. Anyone caught throwing objects will be escorted from the facility. Southern Illinois University is proud to be smoke free. Smoking is prohibited inside or on University owned property. All fans must sit in the seat that they have purchased. Saluki Nation cheers for the home team, not against the visiting team. Salukis are expected to uphold these expectations when visiting any other venue.
During all Saluki events, the following items are prohibited: alcohol and tobacco, containers of any kind, radios, noisemakers, video and flash cameras, banners and flags, and weapons of any kind.
Should you witness any of this behavior or feel threatened in any way, please notify the nearest member of the SIU Event Services team or uniformed police officer. Fans that violate the guidelines set forth by the Department of Athletics are subject to being escorted from the facility without refund and possible ticket loss for future games.

Southern Illinois University Athletics welcomes students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests to campus. We want our guests to enjoy the basketball game day experience in a safe, fun and family-friendly environment. We encourage everyone to please be respectful of fellow guests and to abide by our policies. These policies are designed to ensure the comfort, safety and enjoyment of everyone. If you need assistance in any way, please contact the nearest parking lot attendant, an Southern Illinois University Police Department officer or a member of any other law enforcement agency who is assisting in our parking lots.
Parking lot policies will be strictly enforced by parking lot attendants, Southern Illinois University Police Department personnel, and other law enforcement agencies. These policies are endorsed by: Southern Illinois University Athletics, Southern Illinois University Dean of Students Office, Southern Illinois University Police Department.

Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in SIU Arena.
Animals
Only certified service animals will be admitted. All other animals are prohibited.
Announcements and Recognitions
Individual announcements and recognitions (i.e., birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, etc.) are not permitted at any SIU Athletics event without the written consent of the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. This policy includes public-address announcements, video/ scoreboard recognition, and participation in a potential recognition activity by any group associated with SIU Athletics (i.e., teams, individual student-athletes and coaches, band, cheerleaders, etc.).
Concessions
Concessions are available on all concourse levels. Cash, debit and credit cards are accepted at all permanent concession stands.
Emergencies
Emergency calls should be directed to the SIU Police at (618-) 453-3771. In the event of a serious emergency or evacuation, please follow the directions of members of the SIU Event Management team and uniformed police officers who are available to assist guests, including those with disabilities. Information will also be provided over the public address system and on the stadium scoreboard.

Game programs are available for sale inside the stadium concourse areas.
Gates
Gates open one hour prior to tipoff.
SIU Team Store (Merchandise)
The Saluki team strore is located inside the South entrance of the SIU Arena and is open a hour before tipoff.
Lost and Found
Any found items can be turned in to any member of the SIU Event Management staff. Patrons may claim lost items by calling SIU Police at (618-) 453-3771.
Lost Patrons
Lost patrons and those trying to locate them should contact a member of the SIU Event Services team, a uniformed police officer, or call SIU Police at (618-) 453-3771.
Prohibited Items
For your safety, and the enjoyment of others, the following items are not permitted in SIU Arena: outside food and beverages, umbrellas, cans or glass bottles, banners and signs, noisemakers, radios (without ear phones), and televisions. Neither lockers nor check-in facilities are available at SIU Arena.Â
Projectiles
For the safety of all patrons, the throwing of objects is prohibited in SIU Arena. Patrons throwing objects will be escorted from the arena.
Restrooms
Restrooms are located throughout the stadium in the concourse areas. Diaper changing facilities are located in select restrooms.
Security
All patrons will be subject to a search as they enter SIU Arena. This is intended to provide a safe and secure environment for everyone attending the game.
Smoking
The SIU Carbondale campus has a tobacco-free policy that prohibits the use of tobacco on University property.
Solicitation
For the safety and enjoyment of all of our fans, SIU Athletics does not permit the resale of tickets, setting up a promotional space and/or distributing banners, booklets, business cards, circulars, commercial advertising, flyers, folders, handbills, leaflets, notices, pamphlets, posters, stickers or any other written, printed and/or painted materials in or around SIU sports venues and adjacent areas controlled by SIU Athletics on event day. Furthermore, SIU Athletics does not permit any person, group, and/or charity to solicit fans for financial support or contributions before, during, or after SIU sports competitions, games and events.
Weapons
Weapons of any type, including any item that may be deemed by Southern Illinois University or Event Services as unsafe or a security issue, are not permitted.
