2011 (Senior): Started 14 games and made 16 appearances, finishing the year with a 5-6 record and a 3.28 ERA...Threw three combined shutouts - two against Illinois and one against Murray State...Was third on the team with 79.2 innings pitched...Had 47 strikeouts against 30 walks...Yielded 75 hits and 38 runs (29 earned)...Opposing batters hit just .248 off of him, which was the lowest opposing batting average among all SIU starting pitchers...Threw a career-high 8.0 innings and gave up just five hits and no runs with no walks in SIU[apos]s 3-0 win at Illinois, April 13...Struck out six batters three times, including his May 21 start at Indiana State when he picked up the first MVC victory of his career...Started 11 of his 14 games in midweek action before being moved to SIU[apos]s No. 3 weekend starter for the last three weeks of the regular season...Threw 5.0 scoreless innings of relief in his second and last relief appearance of the season at Bradley, May 8...Lasted 6.0 innings or longer in nine of his 14 starts and 5.0 innings or longer in 11 starts.

2010 (Redshirt Junior): Made 20 appearances and started five games...Finished the year with a 1-2 record and a 6.10 ERA...Had 21 strikeouts and 18 walks in 41.1 innings pitched...Recorded his first career victory on March 23 at UT-Martin, when he only gave up three hits and one run in 6.0 innings...Threw 5.1 scoreless innings of relief at Wichita State, April 9, which was the longest relief appearance by any pitcher in 2010...Struck out four batters in three innings in his midweek start against Illinois, April 14.

2009 (Junior): Received a medical hardship waiver from the NCAA.

Prior to SIU: Went a combined 12-6 with a 4.65 ERA in two seasons at Kankakee Community College...Struck out 45 in 79.1 innings over 17 appearances a year ago...Struck out 58 and walked only 17 in 66.1 innings in 2007...Four-year letterman at McCutcheon High School...Earned all-conference and all-area honors, and was his team[apos]s MVP as a senior.
