In her first season as the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country, Southern set six school records, tallied 28 top-10 school marks, won 17 MVC individual titles, posted 33 top-three finishes at conference meets and had 16 student-athletes qualify for the outdoor regional meet, of which three advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Bri'Anna Branch became the first Saluki women's sprinter since 1986 to earn All-America honors in the 200m dash, while SIU's women's 4x100 relay team became the first women's 400m relay squad in program history to earn All-America accolades. Josh Maier became the first Saluki since 2010 to win the MVC Cross Country individual title and later became the first Saluki men's runner since 1992 to earn Academic All-America honors.
She served 10 seasons on the Buckeyes' staff, including her last six seasons as associate head coach.
During her tenure at Ohio State, Joseph worked closely with the Buckeyes' jumpers and multi-event athletes with remarkable success. Among her recent coaching accomplishments at OSU, Zack Bazile won the 2018 NCAA outdoor title in the long jump to become the program's first national champion in 25 years on the men's side,  while All-American Abie Ehimwenman broke Joseph's own school record in the long jump.
Ohio State has won a combined six Big Ten team titles during Joseph's tenure and has produced a host of All-Americans, Big Ten champions, Academic All-Americans,  and Conference and Regional athletes of the year awards. This past outdoor season Joseph earned the Great Lakes Region Men's Assistant Coach of the Year award.Â
As a collegiate athlete at Ohio State, Joseph was a two-time All-American in the triple jump, placing fifth at the 2005 NCAA Outdoor Championships and sixth at the 2004 championships. A six-time Big Ten champion, Joseph won the Big Ten indoor triple jump and long jump titles in both 2004 and 2005, while also winning the 2004 outdoor triple jump and 2005 outdoor long jump crowns.Â
A 2014 Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, Joseph still holds Ohio State records in the outdoor triple jump (13.50m/44-3.50), the indoor triple jump (13.37m/43-10.50) and the outdoor long jump (6.39m/20-11.75). Joseph was also a 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials triple jump qualifier and the ninth-place finisher in the triple jump at the 2005 USA Track & Field Championships.
A 2006 graduate of Ohio State with a degree in human ecology, Joseph and her husband, Dexter, have a daughter, Gabrielle, and two sons, Harrison and Julian.
