Kristina Mitchell is in her first season as an assistant coach for Alexis Mihelich[apos]s Saluki women[apos]s golf team. Mitchell, a 2012 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, played in 15 tournaments in two seasons for the Screaming Eagles. Since, she has been a volunteer coach for the First Tee program. This is also Mitchell[apos]s first year as a master[apos]s anthropology student after getting her bachelor[apos]s in sociology from USI in 2012. At Southern Indiana:

Played in eight tournaments and 16 rounds as a sophomore...had an 84.9 strokes per round average...shot her career-best round of 75 in the first round of the Screaming Eagle Classic...posted her best 36th-hole score of her career-best 157 (75-82) at USI[apos]s home tournament...had one top 20 finish. 2008-09
Named Academic All-GLVC...played in seven tournaments as a freshman, finishing the year with an 88.4 strokes per round average (spra)...shot her best round of the year at the Northern Kentucky Spring Invitational with an 81...recorded her best tournament with a 170 (84-86) at the Eagle Invitational...had one top-20 finish. Lettered the last two seasons in golf at Roncalli High School (Indianapolis, Indiana)...was named All-County as a senior...RHS finished fifth in the state as a team in 2007...earned letters in cross country, track, and golf at Cardinal Ritter High School (Indianapolis, Indiana)...placed fifth in the Indianapolis City Tournament as a freshman...was varsity captain in cross country and track as a freshman and sophomore.
