Koutsos Passes the 3,000-Yard Mark
On Saturday, Junior RB Tom Koutsos became just the second player in school history to reach the 3,000-yard plateau in career rushing. He now needs 175 yards to surpass Karlton Carpenter as SIU's all-time leading rusher. In addition, Koutsos has rushed for 100+ yards four times this season in six games. In his career he has 14 100-yard games, second only to Carpenter (16) in school history.
Rotating QBs
Head coach Jerry Kill said he will continue to rotate quarterbacks just as he's done the past two weeks against Eastern Illinois and Northern Iowa. Kevin Kobe continues to be the team's most effective passing QB, completing 52.0 percent of his passes, while Madei Williams excels as a runner, second on the team with 284 yards rushing and a 4.3 yard average.

When Loren Flaharty made the start at right guard in place of the injured Matt Anderson on Saturday, he became the 10th true freshmen to see playing time this season for SIU. Also making their debut in the maroon and white this season are DB Chris Gadson, WR Jason Hollingshed, WR Justin George, TE Georin LaGrant, DB Alexis Moreland, LB Cortez McBerry, DB Anthony Maggitt, DL Ben Moore and LB Chris Sutherlin.
