CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University football fans are invited to celebrate the return of Saluki Football at the annual SIU Football Spring Game, set for 6 p.m. on Friday, April 17, at Saluki Stadium. Doors open at 5 p.m., and admission is free for all fans.
The Spring Game offers an early look at the Salukis as the program prepares for the upcoming season, while also serving as a high-energy, fan-focused event. Saluki Football hosted its first spring scrimmage on April 3 at Du Quoin High School, and it's second will be at Marion High School on April 10.
SIU students are especially encouraged to attend, with a full slate of student-only perks planned throughout the evening. A free pig roast will be available for SIU students, along with designated on-field competitions and major giveaways. Students are also encouraged to join the Dawg Pound, bringing energy and school spirit to Saluki Stadium as the team takes the field.
Fans can also enjoy $1 beer, available while supplies last. Select season tickets are available for half price for those who purchase them at the game.Â

The Spring Game showcases Saluki Football in a competitive game setting, highlighting both returning talent and new faces within the program. It also provides an opportunity for fans to reconnect with the team in a relaxed atmosphere and experience Saluki Stadium ahead of the fall season. There will be opportunities for autographs and photos with players after the game.
