SIU Men's Golf Finishes Fourth at Bradley Fall Classic

Peoria, Ill. - Senior Brad Dunker tied for sixth place to lead the Southern Illinois University men's golf team to a fourth place finish as the Bradley Fall Classic came to a close Tuesday.
Dunker shot a first round score of 74 and a second round mark of 75 before concluding the weekend with a final round of 72. As a team, the Salukis shot rounds of 308, 297 and 307 en route to its best finish this fall. Fourteen teams participated in this year's event.
"I was pleased with how we played," said head coach Leroy Newton. "The team has been really progressing each tournament and our kids are starting to step up."
SIU, who maintained its fourth place mark from the tournament's first day of play, finished behind tournament champion Northern Iowa (880), second place Southwest Missouri State (894) and third place Evansville (895).
The Salukis will return to action Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 15-16 at the Eastern Illinois/Ironhorse Intercollegiate in Tuscola, Ill.
