Bradley's visiting Braves handed Southern Illinois University its first loss of the season at home and snapped a modest six-game Saluki streak in doing so in Missouri Valley Conference action.
The Braves, now 7-5 for the season and 2-1 in league play, moved ahead 19-17 on Jerome Robinson's 3-pointer in the first half and maintained the lead the remainder of the game.
Ahead 30-27 at halftime, Bradley rode Robinson's hot hand in the second half as the senior guard poured in 19 points to finish with 27. Freshman Phillip Gilbert was runnerup with 16 for the Braves who connected on 10 of 19 three pointers.
The Salukis, now 7-7 for the season, had five players in double figures, but only one -- Jermaine Dearman -- in the teens. He led the way for SIU with 17.
SIU suffered through its poorest shooting game of the season, hitting just .38 percent of its field goals, 29 percent of its 3-point attempts and only .52 percent of its free throws.
