Saturday's Football Game Cancelled

Saturday's football game at Ball State has been cancelled, Southern Illinois athletic director Paul Kowalczyk said Thursday.
The two schools reversed course after announcing yesterday the game would be played as scheduled.
"There was a growing national sentiment to postpone all college football games this weekend," Kowalczyk said. "We were certainly comfortable with that position, and we're talking to Ball State about rescheduling the game."
Kowalczyk said the game could be played on Nov. 24, if neither team is involved in postseason play.
Southern Illinois will return to action on Sept. 22, when the Salukis host Murray State at 1:30 p.m. at McAndrew Stadium
