Brandenberg, Ky. - For the second consecutive week, the Southern Illinois University men's golf team registered a third-place finish at the Ohio Valley Intercollegiate over the weekend.

The Salukis shot rounds of 286 and 298 en route to their final mark of 584, just one stroke out of second place.

Senior Tim Hoss led all SIU golfers with a 143. Hoss, who tied for second, shot the best round of his career with a four-under-par 67 before concluding with a 76. Joshua Wheeler then followed with a 144. Wheeler clubbed rounds of 72 and 72 to finish fourth.

Illinois State (575) won the five-team tournament followed by Murray State (583), SIU, Loyola-Chicago (592) and Saint Louis (603).
