Men's Tennis Faces Three MVC Foes On The Road

Carbondale, Ill. - Southern Illinois University (2-7, 0-3 MVC) will be on the road this weekend for three straight Missouri Valley Conference matches.

SIU will face Drake (6-10, 2-3 MVC) April 12, Creighton (9-8, 2-3 MVC) April 13 and Northern Iowa (6-15, 2-3 MVC) April 14. All three opponents are tied with Evansville for fifth place in league play.

"We're looking forward to this week. We have Lukasz Soswa (#5 Singles) back after a broken nose which will help us. We know we can beat these teams if we play the way we're capable of playing," said Missy Jeffrey, Saluki head coach.

"We have to play better than we did last weekend if we're going to win. It's important for us to win at least two matches to get back in the MVC race. We're a good team and we need to play like it to win all three matches."

SIU lost home MVC matches to Wichita State and SMS last weekend.
