Harre Named MVC Pitcher of the Week

Carbondale, Ill. - Freshman Amy Harre was named the Missouri Valley Conference's Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week, and fourth time this season, announced today by the league office.

Harre extended her winning streak on the mound to five games as she went 3-0 in Valley action last week, including a 2-0 win vs. Evansville (4/17), a 3-1 win vs. Creighton (4/20) and a 6-4 win vs. Creighton (4/21).

In four appearances, Harre threw 21 innings, while striking out 17 batters and allowing four earned runs. In addition, she allowed just four walks as her ERA now stands at 0.66 on the season.

Harre also garnered the weekly honor on February 18, March 11 and April 15 of this year.
