CARBONDALE, Ill. - The men's tennis team continued to play well as they defeated the Flames of Illinois-Chicago (4-1) today at the SIU Arena Courts.
With today's win the Salukis continue a five match winning streak and look to have their first winning season since 1999. The Salukis can give credit to the top of the lineup for today's win as the Dawgs took wins in the No. 1 through No. 3 singles spots.
Senior Peter Bong was able to post a victory at the No.1 singles spot as he defeated Artsem Burmistrau (6-4, 6-4) while juniors Alexandru Nomicos and Julian Angel Botero picked up wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots.
