Women's Basketball Ends Season at Creighton Saturday

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois (3-23, 2-15) will end its season on the road, where it plays Creighton (18-8, 14-3) Saturday at 3:05 p.m. The Bluejays currently rank second in the MVC and have won six of their last seven against the Salukis.
The Bluejays are winners of three of their last four games and head into Saturday's game fresh off a 78-65 win over Evansville (3/4). Laura Spanheimer tops all CU scorers with 13.6 points per game, while Dayna Finch (13.2 ppg), Christy Neneman (12.0 ppg) and Angie Janis (10.3 ppg) also average double-digits in the scoring column.
Meanwhile, SIU is on an eight-game losing streak and is coming off a 65-53 loss at Drake. The Dawgs are led by Dana Pinkston who is scoring 11.3 points per game.
SIU fell to CU, 59-47, earlier this year in Carbondale.
