Men's Tennis Falls To Wichita State 4-0

PEORIA, Ill. - The men's tennis team was defeated in their opening match of the Missouri Valley Championships today in Peoria as the Dawgs fell to the Shockers of Wichita State 4-0.
The Salukis did not get off to a good start as they dropped the doubles point to WSU as sophomore Bojan Ilievski and junior Lukasz Soswa dropped their No. 1 doubles match (8-4) and senior Peter Bong and Alexandru Nomicos were defeated in No. 2 doubles 8-6 by Boris Gubic and Goran Vujaklija of Wichita State.
As the Salukis began singles play injuries began to become a problem as three of the six singles matches finished without a decision. The three matches that produced results favor the Wichita State as the Salukis dropped the No.3-5 matches giving the Shockers the 4-0 win.
The Salukis end the season with an 8-11 record and a 2-8 mark in MVC play.
