Football Fan Day on Sunday at McAndrew Stadium

The Southern Illinois University football team will hold its annual Fan Day on Sunday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at McAndrew Stadium. Fans are invited to meet and greet Saluki players and coaches, get autographs and take pictures. Free posters and schedule cards will be available, and a limited supply of media guides will be on sale for $10. The Salukis, who were picked to win the Gateway Conference, begin practice on Saturday. In other football news, the athletic ticket office received its allotment of tickets from Northern Illinois for the Sept. 11 game in DeKalb. The tickets are $17 each and can be purchased in person at the ticket office or on-line using Ticketmaster and the password SALUKI.
